The item price is only part of the bill. International shipping is priced on your finished parcel, so what you pack together and how you pack it matter.

How the price is set

Carriers charge by actual weight, and some by volume for bulky parcels, whichever is greater. Sneakers and puffer jackets are the items that push a parcel up fastest.

Making it lighter

Leave out shoe boxes and spare packaging, and ask about vacuum packing for clothing. Sending several items together usually costs less per item than several small parcels.

Timing and import costs

Allow one to three weeks once the parcel has left the warehouse. Your country may charge VAT or duty on parcels from China, so check the rules first and always declare parcels truthfully.
