GL or RL? What the Terms Mean

Post your QC photos in a community and the replies will mostly be two letters. Here is what they mean and how much weight to give them.

The two answers

GL stands for green light: the commenter would keep the item. RL stands for red light: they would send it back. Neither is a rule, only an opinion from someone looking at the same photos as you.

Judging the replies

A reply that points at something specific, such as a misaligned logo, is more useful than a bare "RL". Check the flaw yourself and ask whether you would notice it while wearing the item.

The cost of sending back

A return usually means another wait for the replacement and new photos, and the new piece may not be better. For small flaws on cheap items, keeping it is often the sensible call.

More slang

W2C means where to cop, or a request for a link. A batch is one factory's version of an item. A haul is what you ship together. A find is a listing someone recommends.
